Minuscule 766 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε479 (von Soden),〔Hermann von Soden, ''Die Schriften des neuen Testaments, in ihrer ältesten erreichbaren Textgestalt / hergestellt auf Grund ihrer Textgeschichte'' (Berlin 1902), vol. 1, p. 197. 〕 is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament written on parchment. Palaeographically it has been assigned to the 13th century. The manuscript has complex contents.〔(Handschriftenliste ) at the Münster Institute〕 Scrivener labelled it as 857e. == Description == The codex contains the text of the four Gospels, on 316 parchment leaves (size ). The texts of Matthew 23:5-20; 28:5-9; John 18:15-21:25 were supplied by a later hand on paper. The text is written in one column per page, 13-20 lines per page. The large initial letters in red. The text is divided according to the (''chapters''), whose numbers are given at the margin, with their (''titles of chapters'') at the top of the pages. There is also another division according to the smaller Ammonian Sections (in Mark 234 sections, the last section in 16:9), but without references to the Eusebian Canons. It contains lectionary markings at the margin for liturgical use.
